Colby Petersen, Owner of Belgrade Meat Center

Colby Petersen purchased the Belgrade Meat Center in November 2022. He’s worked there since 2008 and had his eye on buying it for a while. “I haven’t regretted it one day yet,” he said. He likes trying new things and often has a new project in the works. He’s working on a pizza-flavored beef stick now.

Colby Petersen was no stranger to the Belgrade Meat Center when he became the new owner in November 2022. He began working there in 2008, while he was still in high school.

“I started at the very bottom of the food chain as a cleanup person,” he said. “I worked my way up.”

The cooler at Belgrade Meat Center holds a variety of meats and cuts, something for everyone. Owner Colby Petersen hopes that in years to come, he will expand the retail aspect and offer more items, in more outlets such as grocery stores.
Belgrade Meat Center Hanging Beef

The Belgrade Meat Center with Colby Petersen at the helm is a full-service butcher. Everything is done in-house, including pigs, cattle, bison, sheep, goats and wild game. The butcher shop has been in operation for 99 years.
